WHAT IS THE VALUE OF AN EXECUTIVE COACH?

Identify a strategy for success

We are all familiar with sports coaches, Ivan Lendl, Eddie Jones and so on. However, they are not coaching sportsmen how to hit or handle a ball. Rather they are helping them to progress by finding strategies to maximise their performance, to achieve the desired result. My role as an executive coach is the same. This is achieved by focussing on your positive skills, identifying desired goals and the steps to achieve them by managing the challenges to help you excel, or continue to excel, in your work. Coaching helps you to realise your full ambition and potential.

Coaching is neither counselling nor therapy. Coaching focusses on future performance, it works with positive skills and does not seek to explore the past or rectify behaviour. Coaching can be resilience training for those at the peak of their profession and needing to maintain that level. Federer still has a coach, CEOs of companies frequently have regular coaching. My offer therefore is to assist people generally, across a broad spectrum, to improve work performance and achievement. Specifically this may be to explore and find resilience strategies for successful people in order that they can maintain high level performance over time. But equally it could be to assist people back to more effective and rewarding work.

I am an AoEC trained and certified Executive Coach working in the City of London and Surrey. I provide coaching to private and corporate clients and have coached people from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. I am an associate partner working in the Private Client practice of a coaching company providing specialist coaching service to artists, celebrities and high profile individuals in diverse fields such as business, music, entertainment and sports. Here the focus is to acknowledge success and develop resilience to achieve sustainability of high level performance over time. I have a particular interest and personal strength in supporting women to successfully negotiate the challenges of career and motherhood, having experience of this at home and abroad. I also have an established easy rapport and an empathy with clients so that I enjoy helping them move forward successfully in the work place, and if required, this can be alongside or following ill health.
